Foley United manufactures a full range of reel and bedknife grinders, rotary blade grinders, backlappers and cup cutter grinders. We have never professed to be the experts in reel design, as we have left that to the engineers of reel mowing equipment. We do, however, profess that we have always designed our grinding equipment to allow a golf course to maintain reels and bedknives to manufacturers recommendations, whatever they may be.
With Foley United grinding equipment, you have the ability to follow whatever maintenance program you desire. You could use a "touch-off" methodology for reel blade to grinding stone alignment as some grinder manufacturers advocate and are limited to the spin process, and you could bypass the relief process for the sake of time. We provide you the option of doing what the manufacturer recommends if needed, with the simplest process to do so.
The all-new ACCU-Sharp 605 is the newest addition to the "Auto-Index Relief" family of automatic reel grinders for Foley United. For those who desire the "auto-index" relief system, but don't quite have the budget for our tabletop style units, this machine provides all the options you need. Not only will the ACCU-Sharp "spin" and "relief" grind, it will do bedknives as well.

HANDS FREE Relief Process - A 90 second switch to a HANDS-FREE relief process allows the operator to perform other tasks while the machine does the work!
- Will do ALL reel makes in-frame - Touch-up grinds in-season can be done without removal of the bedknife or rollers.
- Built-in Hoist System - The rear load feature of this unit protects the operator from strain and injury.
- Electrically Interlocked Guarding - Protects the operator and others from the grinding area.
- Dial Indicator Alignment Gauge - A 90 second use of the gauge provides accurate and easy alignment of the reel.
- Single Point Hand-wheel Infeed - Allows for infeed increments of .001" or more.
