 Built specifically for golf course use, the Sandstor™ by Meridian Manufacturing keeps topdressing sand clean, dry, and free of contamination. The drive-under configuration has a 6’10" discharge clearance to enable quick and easy loading of topdressers or spreaders. A lever actuator mounted to the side of the structure opens and closes a butterfly valve on the 6" discharge chute.
The Sandstor is charged with sand via a fill pipe system from a pneumatic supply truck. A relief valve and filtered vent pipe allow for the release of the displaced air as the bin is filled.
Hunter green paint on the conical hopper allows the Sandstor to blend in aesthetically in a golf course environment.
Optional items include safety cage for the access ladder, roof perimeter safety rail, and a skid base. The skid base option allows the end user to locate the Sandstor silo in a location that may not be suitable or accessible for a concrete base.
Two models are available, both with 12’ diameter hoppers. The 1204 has a 30 ton capacity and 22’7" overall height. The 1208 has a 50 ton capacity and is 48" taller.
The Sandstor Silo is delivered fully assembled and set in place. Approximate cost of the larger unit is $12,500, plus freight from Iowa.
A 12’ x 12’ x12" concrete base is required unless the skid base option is selected.
