Today, on your golf course, your players will create over 2000 new ball marks. If they fix them the old fashioned way with old-fashioned repair tools, those repairs will kill the turf and last for 6 weeks or more. That's over 35,000 ball marks you have to look at, try to putt over, and where disease and pests can enter.

Efforts to improve the ball mark problem at most courses haven’t worked. Scientific university research has shown that the traditional long-tong ball mark repair tools are largely the culprit. They are too long, too sharp and are damaging to root systems. The old jab, twist method tears the roots and leaves those ugly dead brown spots.

The GreenFix Wizard has been designed with a patented “depth limiting” feature to gently push the turf and greensmix back into the center of the crater with minimal root disturbance - while promoting remarkably faster healing and smoother putting surfaces!

According to a study conducted by Kansas State University, improperly used tools caused more damage than no repair at all. The study found:
  • It took over 38 days for all measurable obstacles (depth, diameter, and texture) created by an improperly repaired ball mark to disappear versus 24 days for an unrepaired ball mark . . . over two weeks longer
  • During the course of those 6+ weeks, the improperly repaired ball mark was deeper, larger and worse texture than all other ball marks.
  • Improperly repaired ball marks on each green at the end of 6+ weeks could number over 5,000 obstacles to putting and entry points for disease.

With the GreenFix Wizard, we have developed a program of simple education and training to bring a new awareness and energy to the course for proper ball mark repair. Approximately 400 courses nationwide have now adopted our system and had remarkable results reducing their ball mark counts. GreenFix Golf has recently been recognized as the "Preferred Ball Mark Repair Tool" of The PGA Golf Club, the 54-hole daily-fee facility in Port St. Lucie, FL that is owned and operated by The PGA. We know for a fact that these reductions are happening because we have the courses count the marks on a test green before they implement the GreenFix Program and recount every 60 days. On average, courses reduce their ball mark counts by 50% to 75% in the first three to five months.

"We adopted the GreenFix tool to create a new awareness in our members of the importance of proper repair of ball marks on the green. The dramatic result of improved putting surfaces has far exceeded our expectations. The advantage of the GreenFix tool is magnified even greater when we have club tournaments and the players are reminded as a group to only use the GreenFix tool. After tournaments rounds, the greens are almost perfect."
