Phoenix Environmental Care, LLC is fast becoming a leader in the Green and Aquatic industries by providing products and services that offer real benefits to customers through superior efficacy, innovation, cost-effectiveness and product support.
Formed in 2005, Phoenix Environmental is headed by Owen Towne, former Global Business Director of Griffin L.L.C. Specialty Products Group.
“We market a variety of products to meet the needs of the Green and Aquatic Industries through unique, quality formulations,” says Towne. “We have a high level of dedicated technical support to meet the needs of the end user and will continue to be actively involved in both industries. Of course, product stewardship is a key focus of our company.”
Kestrel™ Fungicide is a broad spectrum fungicide containing the active ingredient propiconazole. Kestrel’s unique water-based formulation has little or no odor while providing reduced risk of phytotoxicity due to petroleum solvents. Kestrel’s systemic mode of action provides 21-28 day control of many of the most troublesome diseases, including Dollar Spot, Spring Dead Spot, Summer Patch, Brown Patch, Anthracnose and nearly 20 other turf diseases. Kestrel can be used at rates as low as 0.5 oz per thousand up to 4 oz per thousand, providing flexibility for target diseases and length of desired control.
Kestrel is compatable with a wide range of other insecticides and fungicides, including Pegasus brand chlorothalanil, Firebird brand bifenthrin, and Vital® pythium fungicide. Kestrel prevents fungal growth by inhibiting sterol bisynthesis.
Vital® Fungicide (Potassium Phosphite) is an EPA registered systemic fungicide for preventative control of Pythium in cool and warm season turfgrass varieties. In addition to providing outstanding Pythium control, the active ingredient in Vital stimulates the plants natural defense mechanism which improves overall turf health. When used in combination with other registered fungicides, Vital demonstrates effectiveness in managing other disease complexes associated with turfgrass stress and decline.
