Unveiled at the Golf Industry Show 2008 in Orlando, the new Greensmaster 3150-Q has a new muffler system that makes it the quietest engine-powered triplex greensmower in the industry. Retrofit muffler kits are available to convert any Greensmaster 3050, Greensmaster 3100, or Greensmaster 3150 to the "new level of Q".
Two new-for-2008 additions to the aeration line of equipment, the ProCoreŽ 864 and the ProCoreŽ 1298, utilize the same ground breaking technology that allowed the Toro ProCore 648 to revolutionize greens aeration -- but now for large-scale applications. The name describes the configuration, the 864 has eight coring heads and is 64 inches wide and the 1298 has 12 coring heads and is 98 inches wide. Both are tractor mount, PTO driven units. The new aerators are designed to accommodate Toro Titan Tines, available in a wide variety of sizes and styles to fit any aeration application.
 Toro's new Titan QuickChange Tine Head allows tines to be changed rapidly and easily, enabling more efficient turf aeration. The exclusive taper lock installation uses one tool to replace tines with no nuts, bolts, or wrenches that are easy to drop or misplace.
During routine maintenance, a complete set of tines can be quickly replaced, simplifying the changeover process and reducing the overall set-up time. If necessary during aeration, worn or damaged tines can easily be removed and replaced in the field, significantly reducing the down time and improving the overall quality of aeration.
The Titan QuickChange Tine Head fits on ToroŽ ProCoreŽ 648, 864, and 1298 aerators and is compatible with Titan Tines and Classic Toro Tines.
 Toro's new Turf Guard Wireless Soil Monitoring System enables superintendents to know what's going on beneath the surface of their turfgrass, literally. Using buried wireless sensors, Turf Guard precisely measures underground levels of soil moisture, salinity and temperature, and enables superintendents to use the information to manage vital issues such as irrigation run-times, fungicide or pesticide applications, aeration procedures, flushing of dangerous salts and much more. Each sensor is only about the size of a paperback book, and can be quickly installed using a standard cup-cutting tool.
According to the soil data received, a superintendent can make critical daily water-management decisions based on available soil moisture at specific sites on the course. That knowledge can lead to a significant reduction in the amount of water applied, while promoting optimal growing conditions and overall health of the playing surface.
