 With Velocity® Herbicide from Valent Professional Products, golf course superintendents no longer have to tolerate Poa in cool-season fairways and tees. The first postemergence tool for management of Poa annua and Poa trivialis, Velocity can transition Poa-infested turf back to pure bentgrass or perennial ryegrass. Velocity can be used with flexible application timing to gradually reduce Poa, though fairways with low percentages of Poa can withstand a rapid transition program.
In addition to Poa, Velocity controls many broadleaf weeds, including chickweed, dandelion and burweed. By eliminating these problem weeds, Velocity reduces disease problems, such as dollar spot, that are often associated with the vegetation.
