This presentation exploree some of the current research related to maintaining dense, persistent bentgrass putting green turf. Factors discussed included cultivar selection, nitrogen fertilization and organic matter management programs. The effects of these practices were related to important characteristics like visual appearance, seasonal shoot density, surface hardness and ball roll.
