Lebanon buys Novozymes' turf division
Lebanon Seaboard Corp. recently acquired the turf and landscape business from Novozymes that includes the Roots Turf brand of organic-based granular fertilizers.
The acquisition reinforces Lebanon’s growth initiative that includes the acquisition of the Emerald Isle line of foliar and granular fertilizers in December.
Terms of the agreement between privately held Lebanon Seaboard, whose Lebanon Turf division focuses its business on the professional turf market, and Novozymes, a publicly traded company in Denmark, were not released. However, information on the Novozymes Web site indicate that the company’s turf and landscape division recorded annual sales of about $11 million.
The acquisition was completed July 30, according to Novozymes.
