Jacobsen names eastern, western managers

Jacobsen recently named Mark Williams as manager of its western region and Chuck Greif as manager of its eastern territory.

Williams will be responsible for overall sales growth strategies, managing dealer development, executing parts growth strategy as well as overseeing relationships with all national accounts for his region.

His team also includes territory managers Les King and Barry Larson.

Williams has been with the company for 21 years, starting as a Jacobsen factory store manager in 1988.

Greif has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, most recently with Jacobsen’s sister company E-Z-GO, both of which are divisions of parent company Textron.

Completing his team are sales managers Chris Fox, Kevin Stinnett and Dave Wanta.

Both Williams and Greif will report to Martin Levy, Jacobsen’s vice president of sales and marketing.

LebanonTurf taps new marketing manager

LebanonTurf recently named Lori Zimmerman marketing manager for the company’s line of biological plant nutrition turf products.

Her responsibilities will include developing and implementing marketing programs and promotions within Lebanon’s biological plant nutrition segment.

Her prior experience includes serving as director of marketing for Oldcastle Lawn and Garden.

Inoculid line now known as Quantum Growth

Applied and Experimental Microbiology has changed the name of its line of Inoculid plant growth enhancements products to the Quantum Growth Series.

Comprised of vegetative cultures of photosynthetic bacteria that the company says are known to stabilize nitrogen and generate water. The company says its cultures can help improve overall plant health while increasing resistance to various pathogens and diseases. Inoculid has been used for agricultural, turf and residential lawn-care industries since 2004.

Scotts rounds out regional growth plans

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Co., recently named leaders of its regional operating offices in California, Florida and Texas as part of its Lead Regionalization Growth plan.

Mike Lukemire will head the company’s southeast region that comprises Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Based in West Palm Beach, Fla., Lukemire has more than 30 years of operational experience, including 14 years with Scotts.

Located in Orange County, Calif., Phil Jones will lead Scotts’ West Coast region that includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and California. He has been with the company since 2007.

Phil Jones, West Coast Region, joined Scotts Miracle-Gro in 2007 and recently led the Roundup business. His affiliation with the Company dates back to 1998 when he was employed with Monsanto. His region includes California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

A four-year veteran of Scotts, Jim Tate will head the southwest region that includes Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. He is based in Houston and most recently was responsible for the company’s in-store sales efforts as vice president of store operations.

Each office also will include a field sales leader.
