More than 2,400 turfgrass professionals turned out earlier this month at the 43rd annual Ohio Turfgrass Conference and Show.
The show comprised 150 companies occupying 30,000 square feet of exhibit space.
More than 100 hours of turfgrass education were offered at the conference and trade show held Dec. 7-10 in Columbus, and several awards were presented.
Randy Tischer of Green Velvet Sod Farms received the OTF 2009 Professional of the Year Award, Bruce Jones of John Deere Landscapes/LESCO was named the winner of the OTF 2009 Professional Excellence Award and Heidi Voss of Bauder Voss Consulting received the OTF 2009 President’s Special Recognition Award.
OTF also presented $19,500 in scholarships to 14 students from turf and landscape programs at colleges throughout Ohio.
