It's About To Get Real, You Ready?

When I was coaching defensive backs for a small high school, one of the more entertaining benefits of that job was hearing the players talk to one another across the line.  The easiest conversation to hear--when I wasn't yelling coverage adjustments at 130 decibels--was usually initiated by the cornerback closest to our sideline.

Sometimes, when the offense was lined up in a spread with receivers all over the place, I could hear the D-line growling and the outside linebackers barking--but the cornerbacks always seemed to be more . . . articulate.

"You ready, chump?  It's about to get real."

I had one strong safety who loved to line up on a slot receiver before the first play from scrimmage and snarl, "You come across that line, it's on, son, it's on.  I'm gonna hit you so hard, your momma start crying."

He was right.  It was on.  If that receiver wasn't mentally and physically prepared, "on" meant a serious 2+ hour bump-and-run butt-kicking, complete with momma-crying and ref warnings.

You have to be mentally and physically prepared.  That's why we posted this film, "The Best Job In Golf", right now, just before things get real.

We want to help you mentally prepare, because Summer Golf Season is here, no matter what the calendar says.

You ready?  Cause it's on.

Keep up the great videos Randy. Your spot on happenings at golf courses makes me laugh every time I watch one of your videos.

Thanks, Terry.

Just want to clarify, that sales rep in the film was not a True-Surface rep.

Probably from Los Angeles.
