John Reitman's article on the front page of TurfNet is an absolute must-read for anyone in the golf business.

Once again, we have been savaged by the pretend eco-warriors and painted as pesticide-soaked earth molesters.  The time has come to be more animated in our response to propaganda, to adamantly present our positive environmental image to mainstream media.

We need to be more like Anthony Williams and Mark Hoban . . . aggressive environmental action heroes.  We must not allow these bloggists to portray us as reluctant ecological foot-draggers and runoff proponents and . . . erosion villains?

I strongly suggest you read Reitman's piece, as this type of attack is just beginning.  It will only intensify as population concentration complicates the water situation and reality finally becomes obvious to those few left in the Pollyanna camp.   

Oh, and if Reitman is talking about me when he mentions opinion based nonsense, well, I demand he watch this short film full of empirical science.
