Join the team at Luling as we continue to build our private 36 hole golf club currently undergoing multiple facets of both construction and grow-in. Located equidistant to both San Antonio and Austin, Luling Texas offers the perfect site to bring a world class golf course to central Texas. The Ranch also includes a Fishing Village, a Riding Arena, and a Children’s Barn along with extensive landscaping at each facility. The Ranch is in the process of constructing an additional nine-holes. Construction began on the ‘Moose 9’ in July 2024 with a projected completion date of November 2025. Pinedale is the gateway to the Wind River Range, Wyoming Range and the Jackson Hole Area, including Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.  Wyoming is an outdoors state with low property taxes and no state income tax.  Both winter and summer outdoor recreation activities abound in a small-town atmosphere.  Responsibilities: The 2nd Assistant, under supervision of the Golf Course Project Manager and the Golf Course Superintendent, will be involved in all advanced aspects of golf course construction and establishment of the new 9 holes. The 2nd Assistant will also be involved with the everyday operation of the existing golf course and grounds. After construction is complete, the 2nd Assistant will continue with the Golf Course Maintenance staff.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring the golf course construction specifications, fertilizer and chemical applications for establishing the new holes, and participating in operation and programming of the irrigation system.

The second assistant is a hands-on and management position. Stowe Country Club is an 18-hole private golf club originally designed by William Mitchell that opened in 1969. The golf course is set in the iconic village of Stowe, VT with views of the Worcester mountain range, Mount Mansfield, and Camel’s Hump. The golf course is undergoing a major renovation. All greens, tees, bunkers, fairways, and irrigation are being renovated. Stowe Country Club has partnered with Beau Welling Design as the architect, Paul Granger as the irrigation consultant, and NMP Golf Construction as the general contractor. Oyster Harbors Club is looking for a highly motivated and team driven candidate that possesses the fundamentals needed to maintain a golf course and its team at a championship level.  The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and 2 other Assistants in all facets of the job to provide a better understanding of golf course practices, communication, time management, leadership and teamwork.  Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to fertilizer and pesticide applications, IPM and scouting, water management, course set-up, irrigation repair and installation, and daily course maintenance.  The goal of this position is to develop a steward of sustainable golf course management and provide the candidate with the foundational skills, network and philosophies to succeed as a world class superintendent.  The club was founded in 1916, and a 9-hole golf course was constructed.  In the early 1920’s Donald Ross was hired to redesign the previous nine holes and add an additional nine holes.  The golf club was built on 120 acres of rolling, natural terrain that Ross incorporated into his hole layouts which remains a testament to his vision today.  Since becoming a private club in 1989, the course has undergone a total restoration, all in the Ross tradition.  Forse Design has remained the club's architect since 2001 and will continue with our update to the master plan.  The property consists of an 18-hole golf course, a driving range with artificial mats, and 2 practice green areas.  Greens are pushup style with Poa/bent.  The Green’s department is responsible for the upkeep of clubhouse grounds.  The club has retained Golf Water as our irrigation consultant as we work towards our irrigation upgrades.  Rain Bird IC irrigation system will be completed in the Spring of 2025.  A New Watertronics pump station will be installed in the Spring of 2025.  The 2nd Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the other Assistants and Superintendent on planning and supervising all aspects of maintenance on greens, tees, fairways, rough, native areas, and bunkers.  The 2nd Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for fertilizer and chemical applications.  The 2nd Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily crew assignments through a digital job board.  Understanding of local Diseases, pests, and weeds that affect poa/bent playing surfaces.  Knowledge of water management practices to create firm and fast conditions.  Strong organizational skills are required for the position. Isleworth Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole private facility located outside of Orlando Florida. We are number 13 on the Platinum Clubs of the America list. Home to many PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tour members, we pride ourselves in providing tournament conditions on a daily basis. We are currently in the process of replacing 90%of our equipment fleet.  The course underwent a total greens and bunker renovation, turf replacement of tees, fairways and rough, and implementation of naturalized areas to reduce turf and conserve water in 2024. We have plan to continue improvements to driving range and short game practice area. A brand new pump station was installed in 2021, and all irrigation lines were replaced with HDPE in this process as well as new Toro heads and controls for the system.   The position is designed to strengthen the candidate's skills and prepare them for advancement in the turfgrass industry. AIT will work closely with the superintendent and his assistants in all aspects of course maintenance. Areas of intense training will include chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation scheduling and maintenance, scouting, tournament and daily course preparation and routine maintenance. AIT has the opportunity to experience all aspects of a high-level maintenance operation with a staff willing to answer all questions and share valuable information. Qualifications: A 2 or 4 year degree in Turf Management is preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of golf course maintenance experience. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends. Help diagnose specific diseases and treat insects that affect critical areas of the courses. As well as identify and treat unwanted vegetation, using both preventative and curative methods. Spray prescribed amounts of fertilizer, insecticide, herbicide and fungicide when needed. Assist Superintendents with correct calibrations of all spray equipment. Maintain daily spray records. Must have or be able to obtain a Florida pesticide applicators license. Metropolis Country Club was established in 1922. The original 18 hole golf course, designed by Herbert Strong, was later expanded when the noted golf architect A. W. Tillinghast redesigned the course. In conjunction with Forse design, the club completed a large scale restoration project (2014-2020), returning the course to its original design intent.  Over the last 3 years the infrastructure of our operation has all been upgraded, a new irrigation system and pumphouse project was completed in 2023 and we are currently wrapping up the construction of a new, state of the art, turf care maintenance facility. The club is currently constructing an entirely new front entrance with upgraded utilities, while progressing through planning for a new parking lot and employee house project, scheduled to begin this year.
