Mechanic should consult with fleet manager or other supervisors before performing a task if there is uncertainty. ·         Operate and understand equipment functions, capabilities, and limitations. ·         Inspect, service, and repair all equipment as needed, to include, but not limited to oil and fluid changes, brakes, tires, belts, hydraulic and cooling systems, welding and fabrication, sharpening of reels, bed knives and rotary blades and setting quality of cut and height of cut on all cutting units. ·         Maintain clear records of service and repairs to all equipment using fleet management software. ·         Mechanic will be responsible for training personnel on equipment and should be able to demonstrate proper safety, operation, fueling, cleaning and storage of equipment. ·         Maintain an organized work area free from clutter and keep tools clean and serviceable.
