C. Caramanico & Sons, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and industrious Turf & Irrigation Manager to oversee and expand our Turf and Irrigation Department. The Turf Manager is responsible for the oversight, consultations, and lawn evaluations with Account Managers/Customers, managing turf applicators, as well as applying fertilizers and weed controls (as/if needed). These responsibilities include mixing, spraying, or spreading chemicals. The Turf Manager will work to enhance the Caramanico Turf Program and build upon our market-leading standards. The Irrigation Manager is responsible for contracted irrigation work that comes to us from maintenance clients. This work will include start-up, winterizations, inspections, and repairs. The Irrigation Manager will develop a program to enhance the Caramanico customer experience. The Irrigation Manager will identify and train a possible replacement for performing the work as the portfolio of irrigation under management expands. C. The Country Club of Scranton is a 27-hole private club established in 1896. The current site in Clarks Summit is located just a few minutes from downtown Scranton. (The Electric City) This positions sole function is irrigation repair and maintenance. You'll be expected to work 8 hours a day, Monday thru Friday in-season. Overtime will only be required in emergency situations. Our current system has reached the end of it's recommended life cycle and requires a dedicated individual for its efficient function. Under the direction of the golf course superintendent or assistant golf course superintendents, you will be responsible for the programming, operation, repair and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system. The irrigation manager is required to keep daily repair records including parts used for repair and, suggest changes to daily priority repair work.
