The Horticulture Department requires team-oriented members that are quality driven and detail oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the horticulture world and how it works here at Golden Ocala. Additionally, we require a strong work ethic, both as a team and individually. The ability to communicate well with others and to take direction are a must. Mutual respect between team members is essential in developing a strong program. The Horticulture team works 40 hours per week with occasional Saturday assignments based upon club requirements. Work Requirements: · Knowledge of horticulture standards and processes · Ability to lead your team in all aspects of departmental functions · Self-motivation is required · Willingness/ability to operate all equipment · Knowledge of all aspects of departmental functions · Dedicated to detail in all daily functions · Ability to be a strong team leader · Awareness of all departmental safety aspects · Ability to make appropriate decisions on the fly Departmental Standard: · Be a good team member · Honesty and integrity · Take the extra steps · Keep our equipment in pristine condition at all times · Respect and commitment to management, the team and to yourself
