High-performing Managers in Training will be strongly considered for future branch leadership opportunities as we establish new locations throughout the state. Job Summary: The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed to provide a structured learning experience, combining hands-on turf care with exposure to sales and operational best practices. This role allows individuals to progressively develop the knowledge and skills needed to execute sales strategies while managing production operations, optimizing efficiency, and leading high-performing team. Through guided training, MITs will gain a deep understanding of Weed Man’s services, customer engagement strategies, and business operations. Turf graduates and current assistant golf course superintendents are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Learn and apply Weed Man’s lawn care programs, including fertilization, weed control, aeration, and pest management, while developing a comprehensive understanding of turf health. Gain firsthand experience in daily production operations, such as scheduling, route optimization, and equipment maintenance, with a focus on improving long-term operational efficiency. Work closely with senior team members to understand business logistics, customer service protocols, and team management strategies. Supervise and train lawn care technicians over time, developing leadership skills and fostering a culture of excellence. Monitor lawn conditions, diagnose issues, and recommend treatment solutions while refining problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, proper handling of chemicals, and adherence to environmental best practices. Track and analyze production metrics to improve efficiency and productivity while learning key performance indicators for long-term operational success. Collaborate with senior management to implement strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery and overall business performance. Qualifications: Associates Degree or higher is preferred. Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Passion for lawn care, attention to detail, and a desire to learn both the technical and business aspects of the industry. Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in lawn care or turf is a plus but not required Willingness to take on increasing responsibilities and commit to professional growth.
