Being involved in organic / sustainable management allows you to think and learn "outside the box" which is a valuable tool for any turf manager moving forward throughout your career.  You will see turf disease(s) and learn how to diagnose, overcome & manage them along with other stresses without traditional pesticides. Being fully organic, Vineyard Golf Club will provide you with unique experience through our diverse management practices.

Vineyard Golf Club is known as a sustainable leader in the golf course industry which opened in 2002.  In 2015, Vineyard Golf Club was awarded "Best New Private Course" through GOLF Magazine, after a complete renovation by Gil Hanse and his team. Vineyard Golf Club is constantly evolving as we have added new tees, extended fairways, and reshaped approaches.  We have an exclusive, private membership that takes pride in how we manage our grounds. We continuously set goals high and reach them while maintaining turfgrass in a sustainable way.

As an intern, you will be a core member of our team. He or she will be exposed to all aspects of what it takes to maintain a high-end golf club under strict and unique management practices. He or she can expect to work alongside the Assistant Superintendents, and the rest of the crew to complete the daily plan. He or she, will gain exposure to water management, equipment operation, cultural practices, and irrigation repairs.  You will meet with the team regularly to set personal goals.  Vineyard Golf Club provides a great learning experience.
