Seasonal Intern


The Olde Farm Golf Club designed by Bobby Weed was established in 2000 and was promptly named "Best New Private Club" by Golf Digest.  It is consistently ranked in the Top 100 Modern Courses by Golfweek.   The playing surfaces consist of L-93 Bentgrass and Kentucky Bluegrass rough.  The Olde Farm consists of an 18 hole course and a par three short course called The Orchard Course, which was just name one of the Top 25 short courses in the  world by Golf.com.   In 2018, The Olde Farm hosted The American Legends Golf Tournament which was a  one day, PGA TOUR sanctioned charity event to raise money for the kids at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA.   Ten of America's sporting legends from various sporting worlds converged on the grounds here at The Olde Farm and with generous donors and sponsors The Olde Farm was able to raise a record 56.6 million dollars.   Moving forward, The Olde Farm is looking for the best and brightest in their respective industry to help propel the club into its next 20 years.  In the Turf Maintenance department we will be focused on producing championship quality playing conditions on a daily basis and help elevate and surpass member expectations.  

Educational Requirements

Must currently be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Turfgrass Management program, certificate program, or related field at an accredited university. 

Experience Requirements

Experience in the turf management field is preferred but not required.  

Special Requirements

Interns must have a desire and will to learn.  One must also have the ability to adapt to changes, be responsive to constructive criticism, have a sense of urgency and willingness to be a team player.  Interns will be exposed to all facets of the turfgrass management industry from agronomics to equipment management to professionalism and beyond.
