Grounds Staff

Job Description:

Seeking a motivated and talented individual to assist the Head Groundskeeper in all aspects of grounds maintenance at a prestigious, private estate. The approximately 8 acres of property are highly maintained and can be considered a private botanical garden. We have a tight knit, friendly staff that all works together to maintain the needs of the owners and the beautiful, historic property. This unique position is an excellent opportunity for a creative, hardworking individual to shine. Duties:

• Perform irrigation maintenance, adjustments, and repairs during growing season.

• Oversee and manage outside landscape contractors.

• Perform regular hardscape maintenance of walkways, fencing, walls, gates, water features,

  outdoor lighting, pool, and other hardscape features.

• Assist with spring and fall clean-up of leaves and debris from beds, turf, and hardscape.

• Perform plant health care activities including mulching, planting, pruning, deadheading,

  supplemental watering, and other duties that keep the landscape thriving.

• Fertilizer and pesticide applications.

• Assist with snow and ice removal.
