Seasonal Intern

Liberty National Golf Club will be hosting the LPGA Mizuho Americas Open partnering with the AJGA.

Objective of  Program

To give a motivated student an opportunity to develop and improve their knowledge in golf course management practices, communication skills, time management, and teamwork.  This will be a hands-on experience, working closely with the assistant superintendents.  Interns will be exposed to all equipment, technology, and practices required to maintain a golf course at the highest level.

Responsibilities 

• Setting up the course for daily play
• Operation of an assortment of golf course equipment consistent with maintaining championship conditions
• Involvement in all cultural practices
• Participation in our pesticide and fertilizer program
• An understanding of calibrating application equipment
• Assistance in irrigation troubleshooting and repair on Toro Lynx Irrigation System
• Contribution with in-house improvement projects
• Small crew management
• Learn to apply effective hand watering techniques
