Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL, is currently seeking interns for fall 2025 and winter 2026. ORC is a private members only facility located across 2000+ acres on the northern end of Key Largo. We are proud to be a Five Star Platinum Club, currently ranked #8 in the world. Club amenities include two 18 hole championship golf courses, a fitness center/spa, 10+ on property restaurants, a 175 slip marina, and a private members only airport. 

ORC interns are expected to become core members of our maintenance team. Interns with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn will gain vital experience in managing two championship golf courses. This internship program is focused on getting each intern ready to make the transition to a full time assistant position. All of the superintendents here at ORC take great pride in this program, and are here to help you take that next step. While here, each intern will be involved in every aspect of golf course maintenance, with particular emphasis on the following areas:

Chemical/Fertilizer application and calibration

Moisture Management

Irrigation trouble shooting and maintenance

Warm season turf cultural practices

Educational Requirements

Enrolled in a 2 year or 4 year Turf Management related field or Certificate program.

Experience Requirements

No experience required, but prior golf course experience is a plus.

Special Requirements

Ocean Reef Club is seeking an individual that is hard working, driven to be successful, and willing to be exposed to all aspects of the golf course industry. The intern will work closely with the Assistant Superintendents and the Superintendents to make sure the courses meet the high standards set by our membership. Each intern will have the unique opportunity to receive hands on experience with every aspect of Golf Course Maintenance.  Our goal for each intern is to prepare them to make the transition from student/intern into a successful Assistant Superintendent.
