Assistant Superintendent

The ideal candidate for this position must be a forward-thinking individual, as Sacred Heart University will continue to invest in the property and grow its position as one of the best clubs in the northeast and as a top-rated collegiate course. We are looking for a leader who will be self-motivated, a team leader, and passionate about the position. In the summer of 2025, we will host the Epson Tour’s Hartford Healthcare Women’s Championship.

The assistant will work closely with the superintendent on all facets of the golf course operation, including capital project management, IPM programs, budget development, and equipment maintenance. Individuals must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills, and willing to go the extra mile for the betterment of GRGC. A successful candidate will be reliable, forward-thinking, and able to manage staff and projects. He or She must demonstrate strong computer skills to maintain record keeping, daily and yearly scheduling, and data tracking. The assistant must be willing to work select weekends during the golf season.
