Assistant Superintendent
Formed in 1916 when Doylestown featured mostly farms and about 1,600 residents, the original vision of Doylestown Country Club was crafted by five founders. They secured 71 acres of farm land that featured streams, ponds, rolling hills and surrounded by beautiful trees. William Flynn was brought in to design the original 9 holes in 1916. In 1963, an additional 70 acres was purchased, and expanded to a full 18 holes. Currently Doylestown Country Club is working with Golf Course Architect Jaeger Kovich in the implementation of a Master Plan restoration . Doylestown Country Club continues to be one of the premier private member experiences in Bucks County.
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent in the planning and executing of all daily tasks. Responsibilities also include monitoring course conditions, water management, course setup, record keeping, and chemical applications on all playing surfaces. The applicant should be a highly motivated individual that has an interest in furthering their career to become a Golf Course Superintendent.
Educational Requirements
Two or four year degree in a Turfgrass Management program or related field.
The applicant should also have, or be able to obtain a PA State Pesticide License.
