Assistant Superintendent
Silica Sands Golf Club is a 9 hole, par 3 course that shares some operating functions with Trout National - The Reserve located next door. Five holes were completed in 2023, and the remaining four holes are currently under construction. The course contains USGA bentgrass greens, bentgrass tees and fairways, turf type tall fescue rough, and native/waste areas incorporated into the sandy site.
The right candidate is someone looking to improve their knowledge in managing quality golf conditions, while joining a multi-faceted operation. This position may also be involved in the construction and grow in of Trout National - The Reserve, currently underway and being designed by TGR.
Job Responsibilities
- Aid Golf Course Superintendent in managing quality playing conditions with a small crew
- Pesticide and fertilizer applications
- Irrigation repair
- Mowing, hand watering, cultivation practices
- Grassing of remaining 4 holes
- Ability to work 50+ hours per week
Pay will reflect the experience of the chosen applicant.
Educational Requirements
Two or four year degree/certificate in turfgrass management preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements
At least two years experience in golf course maintenance.
However, willing to hire and train a candidate with a hard working attitude and willingness to learn.
