Equipment/Shop Manager
Broadmoor Golf Links is an 18-hole public course in Fletcher, NC, across from the Asheville airport.
Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Mechanic repairs and maintains various gasoline—and diesel-powered golf course maintenance equipment.
- Communicates any needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment.
- Inspects, diagnoses, adjusts, and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various pieces of golf course equipment.
- Works with the Superintendent to prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work.
- Keeps up with preventative maintenance schedule (oil, grease, air, etc.) and maintains repair records on all equipment.
- Responsible for the quality of cut on all equipment used on the golf course (reel and rotary mowers).
- Undertakes fabrication, welding, troubleshooting, and repairs to hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Maintains inventory of common equipment maintenance and repair parts
- Inspects equipment on course.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Course Superintendent.
Educational Requirements
H.S diploma/equivalent.
Golf Course Equipment Technician experience preferred.
Experience Requirements
Golf Course Equipment Technician experience preferred.
Special Requirements
· Must be able to lift 50lbs
· Must be able to sit/stand for long periods.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Maintain confidentiality of information.
· Positive attitude.
· Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
· Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
