Assistant Superintendent
Belfair features two Tom Fazio Championship Golf Courses and a state-of-the-art practice and learning facility all set within a beautiful low-country themed landscape. Belfair is ranked in Golfweek's top residential golf communities, a Distinguished Club of America, and a certified Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. We have hosted the 2019 PGA Professionals Championship.
The First Assistant Superintendent, working under the direction of the Director of Agronomy and the Superintendent , will be involved with all areas of course management including daily scheduling and crew management, irrigation maintenance and repair, fertility and plant protectant applications and record keeping. The applicant should be self-motivated, detail oriented, and a positive, forward thinker that is proactive and a team player.
Educational Requirements
Job Requirements:
• 2- or 4-year degree in turf/agronomy related field
• SC Commercial Category 3 Pesticide License or the ability to obtain with-in 90 days
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and in inclement weather
• Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work with, train, and develop crew members
