Assistant Superintendent

A once in a lifetime opportunity exists for an ambitious turf grad to gain valuable experience in the construction, grow-in, and maintenance operations of a multi-course facility including designs by Kyle Franz and OCM in Luling, Texas. The site is unique with an extensive network of ravines that run throughout the 1,100+ acres, surrounded by a working cattle ranch. Franz is recognized for creating innovative and highly acclaimed golf experiences. The project is deemed to blend design influence from Golden Age architecture with the Texas Hill Country landscape to provide firm, fast and elite conditioning. Membership will be local and national. It is expected to be an invitation-only membership with less than 10,000 rounds annually with no cart rounds. The vision is to create an everyday golf experience reflective of the finest in the United States catering to amateur golf. The golf course will also be featuring wall to wall zoysia with Stadium tee to green, Lazer putting surfaces, and a brand new Rainbird 2 wire system.

Summer and fall of 2024 will include final construction and maintenance of Kyle Franz course 1 as well as construction, grow-in, and maintenance of OCM course 2. There will be plenty of opportunity for learning and growth within all golf course maintenance operations.

An Assistant Superintendent's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, daily planning of all crew, AIT, and intern schedules, crew management, oversight of all chemical and fertilizer applications, water management, training of staff,

This candidate will actively seek to improve conditions, operational flow, and team morale regularly.
