Assistant Superintendent
Naples Lakes Country Club is an Arnold Palmer signature course built 1999. The Club is a private, member-owned facility with 18 holes of championship golf. In the summer of 2017, the Arnold Palmer Design group completed a full restoration and redesign. Naples Lakes Country Club was one of the final courses Arnold Palmer provided design input and is the only Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course in Collier County. The course accommodates over 50,000 rounds annually, with most of that coming in the heart of season from January through April.
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the 1st Assistant Superintendent is responsible for directing and participating in the daily maintenance of the golf course. Working knowledge of golf course operations, including the maintenance practices for golf course turf, proper herbicide, insecticide, fertilizer applications, is essential.
We’re in the middle of a complete shop renovation that should be completed by the end of 2024.
I’m looking for an individual who is a strong leader, can lead by example and has attention to detail at all times. The individual should be able assist in personal management, evaluation, employee safety, and follow a code of conduct. This is a senior leadership position, where I expect this person to excel and achieve the goals I have set forth.
The scheduling, supervising, and training of the 15 golf course maintenance team members in the daily operations of the golf course.
Educational Requirements

Associates degree (A.S.) in Agronomy or Horticulture highly preferred or a turf certificate with previous experience as an assistant |
Experience Requirements
Valid Driver’s License required
Florida commercial T&O License required after 90 days
Minimum 2 years golf course maintenance experience on a course
Bermuda grass experience required
Eager learner with a desire to progress in the industry
Moisture management on putting greens with POGO
The use of Tasktracker Job Management and the data it provides
Working knowledge of Toro E-Osmac irrigation system and a Watertronics pump station
Spanish speaking preferred but not required
