Golf Course Superintendent
Meadow Oaks Golf and Country Club is located approximately 45 minutes north of Tampa in the city of Hudson, Florida. Often referred to in the area as a “hidden jewel”, Meadow Oaks was built in 1984 with a total course length of 6,031 yards. Annual rounds average upwards of 60,000+ with a daily double tee. The front nine winds through majestic oaks while water comes into play on seven holes on the inward nine. In July, Meadow Oaks transitioned to new owners who are diligently working to bring the golf course up to their high standards. Immediate improvements have been undertaken to provide better conditioning course wide. Updates to the clubhouse and the cart fleet are underway. Presently, ownership has contracted Dail Golf located out of North Carolina to advise and oversee maintenance operations at the facility.
The greens feature Jones-Dwarf grass, a hearty strain of Bermuda grass perfect for Florida’s hot weather. The maintenance fleet is large and compromised of mostly Jacobsen equipment. Planning for equipment updates and acquisitions have begun. Golf course maintenance operations are currently conducted by 7 full-time and 5 part-time members.
Our team shares a common goal: returning Meadow Oaks to one of the premier public golfing destinations in the greater Tampa area.
