Equipment/Shop Manager

LaBar Golf Renovations (LGR, LLC) is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our maintenance shop located in Landing, NJ. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, the Diesel Mechanic proficiently conducts repairs on construction and irrigation equipment, maintaining seamless communication with the Shop Manager regarding equipment readiness status.

Knowledge & Technical Skills: 

• Strong mechanical skills and expertise in gas and diesel engines as well as hydraulic systems. 
• Ability to conduct maintenance and service on machines in a shop environment and field environment as needed. 
• Ability to load and unload equipment for transportation for timely project start up and completion. 
• Proficiency or knowledge with Fleet Maintenance software for inventory and equipment management.
• Oversee equipment repairs with a focus on timely execution and cost efficiency.
• Maintain regular communication with the Shop Manager, providing updates on equipment issues including repairs, damages, and safety concerns. This ensures coordinated action for timely and cost-effective repairs, thereby guaranteeing equipment readiness and operational success. 
• Proficient in performing duties within both shop and field environments, demonstrating adaptability and versatility in all operational settings. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-5+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Technologically savvy 
• High school diploma and/or equivalent
• Recent tech school graduates, encouraged to apply

Compensation and Benefits:

• $65,000 - $95,000, depending on experience
• 401k plan with employer match. Eligibility is after one year of service with entry into the plan either January or July after that date.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance offered – employee only covered at 100%.

• Company cell phone provided or reimbursement of $40/month for use of personal phone.
• Year one, 10 Paid Time Off (PTO) days accrued throughout the year (2 per quarter).
