Seasonal Intern

Internship

The Apawamis Club is seeking focused, hard-working, and driven individuals who are motivated to learn and advance in the golf course industry. Interns will work closely with the management staff in the planning and execution of daily maintenance objectives. Interns will be involved in all fundamental aspects of the operation including but not limited to: water management, aeration, plant-protectant calibration, application, and documentation, operation of all equipment, record keeping, and daily scheduling.

Founded in 1890, The Apawamis Club is the 6th-oldest private club in the United States and steeped in history. The Club remains on the forefront with world class facilities and an active and family oriented membership. The golf course combines quirky architectural character with an old school aesthetic – reminiscent of the early days of golf.

Apawamis provides a unique internship opportunity that includes sitting in on and contributing to all planning meetings, further education opportunities such as irrigation, pump station and chemical "turf talks" as well as  participation in a Poa Annua research trial, in collaboration with Penn State.
