Assistant Superintendent

Llanerch Country Club is looking for a motivated and happy person to be an Assistant Superintendent. The Grounds Department is focused on providing Championship like conditions while stressing Life/Work balance for all of their employees.  As the Assistant, you will perform cultural practices, manage staff, learn budgeting and be a big part of water management in the most efficient manner possible. We are also in the planning stages for some potential new golf course construction in the next 6-12 months which will involve the newest Assistant Superintendent.

Llanerch is all bentgrass on play surfaces with little to no poa annua. The greens are native push up. We have zoysia faced bunkers and areas of bermuda on the range tee.  So, you will experience many different grass types.  The irrigation system is Rainbird.

The person who becomes the next Assistant Superintendent will be asked to cover only every third weekend during the year. In other words, you will have two weekends off and then one weekend on.  We also rotate the major summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) between the all three Assistant Superintendents. 

We are also very proud of our history professional progress of past Assistants Superintendents.  Many have gone on to become Superintendents, property/college managers and Director of Grounds. We are committed to Assistants learning the skills to become bigger success in their next step of their career arc.
