Seasonal Intern
The Pittsburgh Field Club is a private 18-hole country club, established in 1882, located just 8 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The Field Club, as it’s known in Pittsburgh, hosted the 1937 PGA Championship, the 1959 Western Open, and the 2023 Pennsylvania Amateur Championship. Also, the club hosts the Pittsburgh Open every third year.
The course was designed by Alexander Findlay in 1914. In 2012, Keith Foster developed a Master Plan for the club. In recent years, we have completed a bunker and green surrounds renovation, fairway re-contouring, a complete driving range renovation, and completed a state-of-the-art short game area. Future projects include: tee and cart path renovations, and a new irrigation system. One feature unique about Pittsburgh Field Club is we have an elevator(pictured above) that transports walkers from our 17th green to the 18th tee. The elevator was built in 1938.
