Seasonal Intern
Cherry Hills Country Club is looking for its 2025 class of interns who are eager to learn, work hard, and enjoy all that Denver, Colorado has to offer. Cherry Hills Country Club is home to an 18-hole championship golf course and features a 9-hole short course. The club was established in 1922, designed by William Flynn, and has hosted 14 championships, highlighted by the recent 2023 U.S. Amateur won by Nick Dunlap. Champions include the likes of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Birdie Kim, and Jack Nicklaus. The course consists of bent/ poa push-up greens with fairways, tees, and rough that are bluegrass/ rye.
Our goal is to provide you with the experience necessary to take the next steps in your turfgrass career. Expectations of the club and our membership are extremely high, and we work hard to meet and exceed those expectations.
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Sprayer and spreader calibration
· Chemical and fertilizer application
· Water management, hand watering
· Irrigation maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and improvements
· Course set-up
· Mowing of all playing surfaces
· Aerifcation and cultural practices (verticutting, needle-tining, topdressing, etc.)
· Equipment operation on all machinery
· Partake in projects and small crew management
Housing, lunches, uniforms and golf privileges are included in the internship as well as ample opportunity for overtime. We also encourage and will cover costs for tournament volunteer opportunities during the internship. The opportunity for a full-time position is available if the correct candidate can fulfill our expectations throughout their tenure as an intern and work well with our team.
Cherry Hills Country Club also offers the Palmer Scholarship to any employees currently enrolled in classes. This is a fantastic opportunity for scholarship funds and can be discussed further during the interview process.

Educational Requirements
Candidate must be currently enrolled or recently graduated from an educational program related to the turfgrass/ golf-course industry.
Experience Requirements
No experience necessary, prior experience in golf course maintenance a plus.
