Founded in 1920, Saucon Valley Country Club is home to 3 Championship Golf Courses across 850 acres. Located an hour north of Philadelphia in the Lehigh Valley, Saucon Valley Country Club is a Top Platinum Club of America, has hosted 8 USGA events, and is the first club to host 3 U.S. Senior Open Championships (1992, 2000, & 2022). The Club has been selected to host 5 more future USGA events with the first being the upcoming 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur followed by the 2032 U.S. Senior Open, 2038 U.S. Women's Amateur, 2042 U.S. Senior Open, and the 2051 U.S. Amateur.                                     

Saucon Valley Country Club is seeking motivated individuals looking to excel in the golf course industry. Saucon Valley Country Club provides students with a comprehensive internship at an incredibly unique facility. Saucon Valley Country Club will motivate you to get the most out of your internship and help you achieve your career goals.

Students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in daily discussions about course management, projects, agronomic and cultural practices. With 60 holes of golf, students will experience all aspects of golf course maintenance such as, but not limited to,       

-          Experience maintaining bentgrass on USGA and push-up style greens, and maintaining Poa Annua Greens

-          Staff management and training

-          Assist with SVCC water management program

-          Chemical/fertilizer applications and calibrations

-          Irrigation installation, troubleshooting and repair

-          Daily course management maintaining championship conditioning

-          Exposure to managing critical thinking at a multi course facility

-           Learn basic equipment management practices

Educational Requirements

Students must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year Turf Management (or related) program.

Experience Requirements

Prior golf course experience is preferred but not required.

Special Requirements

Goal-oriented individuals with the willingness to learn. The ability to communicate and be detail oriented. Confidence to make decisions and possess strong teamwork skills.
