Assistant Equipment Technician

Horseshoe Bay Golf Club is looking to hire an assistant mechanic to mentor under our current Equipment Manager. Our Equipment Manager has 30+ years of experience and knowledge to share so prior golf course experience not required but would be a plus. We are an 18-hole, private facility, with a fleet that is made up of mostly Toro, Club Car, and Bobcat equipment. This person will be used in other areas of our daily maintenance routines and projects on the golf course when not needed in the shop.

$22-24/Hr D.O.E.

This is a year-round, hourly position. Other benefits include, in-season meal allowance, clothing allowance, national and state association dues, education opportunities, housing availability, and playing privileges

Below are some of the expectations of the position:

Assists the Equipment Manager in all day-to-day operations within the department of golf course maintenance

Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.

Helps maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment

Train the maintenance staff on the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment

Inspect, change, and repair tires.

Be involved with daily mowing and other projects on the golf course periodically

Snow Removal

Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Perform additional duties as required

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, of moderate cold, and extreme heat.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and motorized equipment vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
