Golf Course Construction Shaper & Equipment Operator
Company Overview: Founded in 2010, Green Tee Golf, Inc. is a golf course construction and renovation contractor headquartered in Augusta, GA.
Our client base is spread throughout the Southeastern United States, including GA, NC, SC, TN, KY, and FL. Most of our projects are in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We are looking for an exemplary, hardworking, adaptable, highly detailed, and driven Construction Shaper and Equipment Operator who are motivated and willing to learn our methodology and processes.
Job Description: Green Tee Golf, Inc. aims to expand our team as our business grows. We are looking for experienced and skilled onsite Construction Shapers and Equipment Operators to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with operating heavy machinery in a golf course construction, or similar setting. General work hours are Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM, with weekends as needed (average work hours of 50-60 hours per week). Both positions are full-time with housing provided and a negotiable vehicle allowance. The hourly pay rate is dependent on work experience. Serious inquiries only.
Construction Shaper & Equipment Operator Responsibilities/Duties:
· Operate heavy equipment daily in a safe manner.
· Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure functionality.
· Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
· Track scheduled maintenance and hours of operation and notify supervisors, when in need.
· Fuel and grease equipment daily.
· Clean equipment daily (tracks and undercarriage, as well as operator station).
· Implement the design intent in the field to produce golf course features.
· Travel to job sites required.
· Assist with labor tasks as necessary.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and work outside in all seasons and weather conditions.

Experience Requirements
Construction Shaper Requirements/Experience Needed:
· Proven experience operating the following equipment on a golf course construction or renovation project: bulldozer, excavator with swivel/knuckle and thumb attachment, skid steer, assorted tractors accompanied with various implements.
· 5+ years’ experience operating high-end heavy equipment, sand pro, and box blade attachments.
· Ability to work on a team.
· Ability to follow instructions and perform work proficiently, as it relates to the project plan.
· Ability to comprehend and interpret grading plans and design renderings.
· Ability to work long hours when needed to meet deadlines.
· Ability to work outside, in the elements in varying temperatures and conditions.
· Strong understanding of the artistic/creative aspects of golf course construction.
· Strong mechanical skills.
· Proficient use of field survey equipment to analyze the percentage of slope and elevation changes.
· Proven track record of operating equipment safely.
· Desire to learn new processes and skills on the job to minimize existing knowledge gaps, is a highly valued attribute.
Equipment Operator Requirements/Experience Needed:
· Proven experience operating the following equipment on a golf course construction or renovation project: bulldozer, excavator with swivel/knuckle and thumb attachment, roller/compactors, track loaders, wheel loaders, skid steer, assorted tractors accompanied with various implements, such as front-end loaders, site dumpers, dump trucks, water trucks, etc.
· Ability to complete earthwork, clearing, and grubbing/stumping.
· Ability to load and unload equipment from transport trucks, while tracking load counts.
· Ability to work as a team.
· Ability to follow instructions and perform work proficiently, as it relates to the project plan.
· Ability to work long hours when needed to meet deadlines.
· Ability to work outside, in the elements in varying temperatures and conditions.
· Strong mechanical skills.
· Proficient use of field survey equipment to analyze the percentage of slope and elevation changes.
· Proven track record of operating equipment safely.
· Desire to learn new processes and skills on the job to minimize existing knowledge gaps, is a highly valued attribute.
