2nd Assistant Superintendent
Naples National Golf Club is searching for a motivate individual who is ready to acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to become the best. The hired individual must be willing to do whatever it takes to be success in your position and to provide excellence to the staff and club members. Your assignments will have no boundaries. You will work closely with our lead assistant on a daily basis providing him with any necessary relief to make the day go smooth.
NNGC is a seasonal club and is opened Oct 15th - Memorial Day. The club is closed 4 1/2 months during the summer for maintenance. Naples National was opened in 1993 and currently has a thriving membership.
Educational Requirements
A 2 or 4-year turf degree / certificate.
Experience Requirements
NNGC is a great learning arena for the next great assistant. Your experience prior to this opportunity can help you obtain this position. Your knowledge of golf course maintenance and equipment operations will be tapped into and also utilized to help train others in this role as one of the managers. We expect you to expand on your golf course maintenance experiences that will help you gain a better understanding of procedures and practices that produce high level turf conditions.
As the 2nd Assistant Superintendent, your duties will include the following, but not limited to.
* Arrive each day prepared to learn, assist, implement, and execute the team's goals
* Shop and Equipment set up for the day
* Chemical / Fertilizer mixing, loading, calibrating, applying, record keeping (Playbooks), inventory, spot spraying, scouting for insects & disease, offering opinions and discussing solutions with the Golf Course Superintendent
* Irrigation - Daily pump station usage reports, South Florida Water Management District quarterly reports, offering insight for nightly watering needs, scouting turf and acknowledging hand watering needs, repairs and maintenance, etc...
* You will assist our team with the daily shop & equipment set-up, perform mowing, course set-up of tee markers or hole location setting, raking bunkers, blowing to clean up turf, etc...
Special Requirements

Hold a FL Pesticide license or be able to acquire a FL pesticide license within 6 months.
