Assistant Superintendent
Established in 1921 and designed by Walter Travis, Spring Brook Country Club is a family oriented, private club dedicated to providing an outstanding golf course and excellence in social and other sporting activities in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere while preserving the rich history of the club.
SBCC is currently at the halfway mark of green, tee, and fairway renovation with architect Ian Andrews of Ian Andrews Golf Design. Currently, we have renovated 1/2 our tee boxes and performed 5 green expansions. In 2021 we finished a full bunker renovation with capillary concrete. This off-season we will be renovating another tee coinciding with a green expansion and a handful of drainage projects.
Renovation work will be mostly performed in-house alongside our architect, shaper and small crew. The individual who is hired will not only be involved in all aspects of the renovation but assisting with the development of a maintenance program, culture practices and a hands-on management style. I encourage input from assistants to aid in the productivity of the crew and maintenance program. Also, this individual will help with managing the crew on a daily basis and head projects during renovation periods. This is a great opportunity to advance one's career in all aspects of golf course maintenance.
Assistants work schedule will be on 12 days off 2 from April to mid-November. The average work week consists of 50 hours. From December-March the work week will be 40 hours.
