Seasonal Intern

Fox Chapel Golf Club is a prestigious private golf club known for its beautifully maintained course and exceptional facilities. Our dedicated grounds team ensures that our members enjoy an unparalleled golfing experience in a picturesque setting. Fox Chapel Golf Club is an 18 hole Seth Raynor Design located in the community of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. The golf course restoration was completed in 2020 done by the Fazio Group. The restoration included the construction of 97 bunkers, fairway widening, and grass line adjustments. Specific signature greens were also restored: 12 forward tees were added, several back tees were also pushed back. The golf course offers a challenging layout at 6,696 yards, and its distinct elevated multi-tiered greens require golfers of all levels to play unique and imaginative shots. The Championship layout served as host of the 2002 Curtis Cup and the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Senior Players Championships. Fox Chapel also was host to the 2021 and 2022 BIG 10 Women's Golf Championships. Fox chapel also hosted the 2024 Women's Senior U.S Open this past August. 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Grounds Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in golf course maintenance and landscape management. Interns will work closely with our experienced grounds staff and learn the ins and outs of maintaining a top-tier golf course.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping.
• Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course for daily play.
• Help with irrigation management and water conservation efforts.
• Assist in pest management and fertilization processes.
• Support the team in maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Learn about and implement sustainable practices in grounds management.
