All forms of general golf course maintenance. Including but not limited to, fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application, irrigation repair and installation, drainage repair and installation, pest scouting and monitoring, supervision of staff.
Olympia Fields Country Club is a private club founded in 1915, located on the southside of Chicago and is comprised of two championship golf courses. The North Course, designed by Willie Park Jr., has hosted two PGA Championships, a number of Western Opens Championships, the 1997 US Senior Open and two US Open Championships, the 2015 U.S. Amateur, the 2017 WPGA Championship as well as both the 2020 and the 2023 BMW Championship. The South Course, originally designed by Tom Bendelow, has hosted many statewide events and along with the North Course, both are ranked in the top ten in the state of Illinois. The club has just completed a renovation of the South Course. The club has just hired Andrew Green and is updating its North Course Master Plan.
Educational Requirements
Minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited turf school.
Experience Requirements
I would prefer an individual to also have at least two to four years of golf course experience
Special Requirements
Must be able to provide valid documentation establishing legal right to work and be able to pass a drug screen. Must also possess a valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions in the past five years and agree to a criminal background check
