Landscape Manager
APOGEE is a passion project presented by two highly successful businessmen, to bring an experience unlike any other to South Florida.
APOGEE is currently in the construction phase with plans to construct three, 18-hole golf courses, two short courses, a Himalayas-style putting green & two driving ranges over 1200 acres. The club is also in the process of constructing 2 clubhouses, 50+ cottages, spa/fitness center & will also have fishing, tennis, walking trails & pickleball. The Landscape Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape maintenance in regard to the club’s facilities & landscaped areas. This role ensures that the grounds are maintained to the highest standards of aesthetic beauty and functionality, enhancing the overall member and guest experience. This position reports to the Chief Operation Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
1. Plan, develop, & implement landscape maintenance and improvement projects for the club’s facilities & surrounding properties
2. Supervise & coordinate the activities of the landscaping team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing training & guidance
3. Inspect the grounds regularly to ensure they meet the highest standards of appearance & functionality
4. Oversee the maintenance & operation of irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water usage & system functionality
5. Manage the selection, planting & care of trees, shrubs, flowers & other plant materials
6. Develop & manage the landscape maintenance budget, including purchasing supplies & equipment
7. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to landscaping & grounds maintenance
8. Implement & oversee integrated pest management programs
9. Collaborate with the Golf Course Maintenance staff to ensure seamless integration of landscaping & turf management
10. Conduct performance evaluations & provide constructive feedback to landscaping staff
11. Maintain accurate records of landscaping activities, including maintenance schedules, inventory levels & equipment maintenance
12. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in landscaping & horticulture

Educational Requirements
Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or similar certification/Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred
