Assistant Superintendent
Fairmount is a vibrant year-round country club with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, casual and upscale dining, and active social, golf, racquets, and pool offerings in a resort-like setting. The Club features an 18-hole par 72 golf course originally designed by Hal Purdy while currently being modernized by Robert McNeil, practice range, short-game practice area, and a state-of-the-art indoor practice facility with two simulators. Beyond golf, the Club features four Har-Tru tennis courts, five platform tennis courts, a swimming pool and two clubhouses for dining and socializing.
A new five row HDPE Rainbird two-wire irrigation system was installed in 2017, which limits the amount of repairs that are needed during the season. The club’s focus has been on drainage for the past few seasons with internal drainage being added to ten greens and approaches while also installing 8 acres of internal fairway drainage at 8-foot centers. Fairmount has just wrapped a complete renovation of the bunkers utilizing Capillary Concrete liners, completed by LaBar Golf in October of 2024.
