Founded in 1989, Hammock Dunes Club features two distinct golf courses and is a full-service multi campus club offering member amenities found in clubs of equal stature.
Hammock Dunes Club is currently searching for the ideal candidate to assume the role of Course Superintendent of our highly regarded Creek Course, currently ranked #30 in the state of Florida. The Creek Course challenges even the best golfer, and this position requires a passionate, accomplished and ambitious individual seeking to make their mark as the next generation professional.
The Creek Course, a Rees Jones design opened in 2003, is situated on 640 acres consisting of uplands, wetlands, planted pines & natural oaks with no home sites on the property. The course offers an exciting challenge for highly experienced golfers. Players are tested throughout the course with the variety of shots required and amazed with the abundant wildlife seen daily.
Creek Superintendent Overview:
To be a successful candidate, one must possess outstanding agronomics, leadership, communication and golf course experience. This role demands a professional who understands member expectations and is motivated by overseeing and coordinating all operations of Golf Maintenance. The new Superintendent must collaborate with and build a strong relationship with the Maintenance, Golf and Senior Management teams.

Agronomics:
- Strong technical and analytical acumen to ensure optimal agronomics, water, soil and environmental management programs.
- Successful experience managing Tiff Eagle, USGA spec greens
- Solid irrigation management and daily practices to produce consistent conditions
- Highly detailed Bunker maintenance practices
- Familiarity with Audubon Certification

- Consistently informs membership about agronomic practices, environmental concerns and changes to course conditions.
- Timely follow-up with direct reports on daily activities.
- Ability to communicate with Spanish speaking staff is highly desirable.
Educational Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Turf Management
- Florida Pesticide license or ability to receive one in (60) days
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years as Golf Course Superintendent
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive responsibilities at a premiere, high end facility known for exceptional course conditions and outstanding member/guest service.
