Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia was founded in 1899. ACC is an 18-hole private club originally designed by Donald Ross. Over the last 20+ years, the club has put a lot of time and focus into the golf course with renovations happening in 2001, 2017, and recently in 2022. In 2001, the club converted putting greens from Penncross Bentgrass to A-1 Bentgrass. More recently in 2017, the club converted fairways/tees from 419 Bermuda Grass to Zorro Zoysia grass along with a new HDPE irrigation system and Better Billy Bunkers. In 2022, the golf course was closed for putting green reconstruction and conversation to Tif-Eagle berumda grass. Along with the putting greens, extensive tree work, green side bunker construction, and green surround sand capping were completed as well.
