2nd Assistant Superintendent

Canterbury Golf Club, a premier golf club located on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, offers a rich history of excellence in golf course design and championship play. Originally designed by Herbert Strong and opened in 1921, the course has hosted 13 major championships, including the U.S. Open, Senior U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship, and U.S. Amateur. Most recently, Canterbury hosted a Korn Ferry Tour Finals event from 2016 to 2018, and will be the venue for the 2027 U.S.G.A Girls' Junior Amateur. Currently ranked #87 by Golfweek in their list of the top 100 classic courses.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a 2nd Assistant Superintendent. Over the past seven years, three of our Sr. assistant superintendents have accepted head superintendent roles, reflecting our commitment to career development and professional growth.

As part of a hardworking and cohesive team, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards that Canterbury is known for, while also contributing to a positive work environment. Experience with the following skills is preferred, but not required:

• Hand watering and irrigation system repairs
• Plant protection and fertilizer applications
• Drainage installation
• Crew leadership and training
• Golf course construction and renovation

We are open to training the right candidate and encourage recent college graduates with a strong interest in turf management to apply.
