Golf Course Superintendent – Salemtowne Civic Association 

This is an exciting opportunity to work at a golf course nestled within an HOA community in west Salem, Oregon. Salemtowne is a private course hosting around 20,000 rounds per year. 

Overview 

The golf superintendent is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all association property including; golf course, common green spaces, buildings, RV lot and swimming pool. The superintendent reports directly to the board of directors, specifically the director of operations. Being a 9-hole golf course the superintendent needs to have a broad skill set. Toro irrigation system installed in 2009. Mix of Toro, John Deere, and Kubota equipment. A strong Asset replacement fund has resulted in high quality equipment for the maintenance of the grounds. 

Requirements 

2-year degree in turf management 

Effective communication and leadership skills 

Experience creating and maintaining a budget 

2+ years in a leadership roll 

Able to obtain Oregon pesticide license within 90 days 

Irrigation and spraying experience 

Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
