As an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you’ll play a key role in delivering superior course conditions and contributing to one of the nation’s most prestigious clubs. This position offers hands-on experience in renovation projects and professional growth opportunities that will elevate your career as a turfgrass manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily operations to ensure optimal course conditions for members.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff, promoting safety and excellence.
- Monitor course health and execute innovative maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent and assistants to maintain top-tier standards.
- Oversee renovation projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment that values feedback and teamwork.
- Plan and implement annual maintenance goals and budgets alongside the Superintendent.
Educational Requirements
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of turfgrass species, maintenance practices, and irrigation systems.
- Skills: Proficiency with maintenance equipment, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
