Golf Course Superintendent – Northbrook Golf and Grill
We are looking for an Individual who has a passion for producing quality golf course maintenance conditions, along with being a strong leader of their staff while meeting and producing the expectations of our golfing membership and public players. The individual in this position is a key leader and crucial part of the success of Northbrook Golf & Grill
Course Description
Northbrook Golf & Grill is located in Luxemburg, Wisconsin (approximately twenty minutes Northeast of Green Bay). Established over 50 years ago, Northbrook Golf and Grill is an eighteen hole, public golf course featuring a full driving range/practice facilities and enjoys a significant, loyal member base as well as hosting numerous outings.
The ownership group consists of six area business owners that grew up in Kewaunee County and are intent on Northbrook being one of the premier golf courses/food and beverage facilities in Northeast Wisconsin.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for Maintenance of Eighteen Hole Golf Course
Maintain Practice Facility and Grounds to Ensure Course Playability/Appearance
Oversee and Assist with Golf Course Equipment Maintenance/Repair
Plan, Manage and Perform Repairs to Irrigation System
Plan and Implement Chemical/Fertilizer Applications as well as Cultural Practices
Maintain and Improve Golf Course Appearance/Aesthetics by Refurbishing Golf Course Accessories
Plan and Maintain Flower Beds, Landscaping and Trees
Plan and Provide Renovations and Special Course Projects, Practice Facilities and Grounds
Produce and Work Within Approved Budget
Plan Long Term Capital Budget Annually to Address Equipment and Other Needs
Manage all Grounds Personnel including Recruiting, Hiring and Time Clock Management
Supervise Job Assignments, Performance Appraisals, Employee Development

Educational Requirements
Agronomy, Horticulture or Related Field Associate’s Degree (Bachelors Preferred but not Required)
Experience Requirements
Three Years Experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Wisconsin Pesticide Applicators License – Certification for 3.0 Turf and Landscape - required before season
Working Knowledge of Turfgrass Science and Maintenance Practices
Strong Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
Excellent Communication, Organizational and Time-Management Skills
State of Wisconsin Certification as a Member of the WGCSA and GCSAA Preferred.
Golf Course Equipment Maintenance Experience – Reel Grinding and Preventative Equipment Maintenance
Tree Removal Experience Preferred
